The bison industry faces an exciting future. This year marks the 27th Annual Canadian National Bison Convention and the 18th Annual Show and Sale.  The National Convention and Show and Sale bring together a large number of bison producers, suppliers, marketers, service providers and investors in the Canadian bison industry. The convention offers attendees an opportunity to learn from knowledgeable speakers and provides an opportunity to network with other industry stakeholders.  The convention begins on the morning of Sunday November 21st with a full day of speakers and ends the evening with a Bison “Taste Test” Contest and Fun Auction. The Convention concludes at noon on November 22rd and wraps up with the awards banquet that evening

The theme of this year’s convention is Listening to the World Around You. We have Kevin Hursh well-known agricultural journalist and broadcaster as our keynote speaker talking about Agriculture: the Big Picture. We have a number of other presenters addressing topics related to the bison industry. The marketers’ panel on the morning of November 22nd always attracts a lot of attention as marketers reflect their view on the future of the bison industry. The Banquet will conclude with motivational speaker Bruce Vincent with a speech - Where there is Vison there is Hope.

The National Show and Sale is held November 23rd in conjunction with Canadian Western Agribition.  The sale attracts a lot of attention from the public plus other interest groups as well as National and International media.
