The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists and the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (consisting of individuals who provide a wide range of services to farmers) have agreed to partner for this special event.  We have arranged for three leading farmers to give a group presentation on a wide range of topics of interest to our members. We encourage members of either organization to invite one of their clients to attend this open meeting.

Date January 26 at 6 PM in the Queensberry Salon one.

Dinner will be served, the cost of the evening is $35.00 per person.  The presentations will commence at 7 PM.

Our speakers are:

Daryl Frank from Sedley representing Saskatchewan's young farmers, he has recently taken over the family farm and also recently returned from a young farmers conference in Germany. His presentation will focus on the issues that beginning farmers face in the industry.

Jim Mitchell farms 4000 acres in the Francis area, and has experience in Australia, went to Olds college and has been on the local credit union board. He represents a midcareer farmer operating what is now becoming a typical sized farm.

Lorne Templeton from the Pense, Roleau area farms 20,000 acres, is a second-generation farmer with experience as a banker and on the farm land review board. He represents a large-scale farmer.

We are asking our speakers to outline their views on the industry and to discuss the types of services they need from our respective organizations.

We need to confirm the number of individuals attending by Friday, January 22 at 4 PM, please respond to this e-mail or send an e-mail to: kshultz@wheatlandaccounting.com or m_champion@ducks.ca to confirm your attendance.
