Our Objectives

The formal objectives of the Institute, as set out in The Agrologists Act 1994 focus on developing and maintaining competency of agrologists. They are:

To promote and increase the knowledge, skill and proficiency of its members in the practice of agrology.
To do all things that may be necessary, incidental or conducive to the usefulness of agrologists to the public.
To protect the public in all matters relating to the gathering, analyzing and distributing of information respecting agrology and to improve agrology services and agrology education.
To increase public assurance of the safety of the food supply, to promote the wise use of natural resources and to monitor the environment sensitivity of the agri-food industry.
To ensure the proficiency and competency of agrologists.
