Honours and Awards
HONOURS AND AWARDS
SIA Council may at its discretion bestow any of the following honours and awards:
1. Distinguished Agrologist Award - presented to a member of SIA for professional distinction associated with an outstanding accomplishment in agriculture and bioresources which is recognized within the Province of Saskatchewan.
2. Outstanding Young Agrologist Award - presented to a young agrologist under the age of 40 who has provided outstanding service and made worthy contributions to the agriculture and bioresource industry.
3. Recognition Award - presented to a member of the SIA who has rendered special service or made a significant contribution to the betterment of the Institute.
4. Honourary Life Membership - conferred out of respect and in recognition of achievement in and service to the agricultural industry but without the usual prerequisites, duties or obligations of membership contained in, The Agrologists Act, 1994 and the SIA bylaws.
5. AGEX Award - the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists presents the Agriculture Excellence Award to organizations, agencies or agri-business in recognition of outstanding contribution to agriculture in Saskatchewan by providing professional services of agrologists and agricultural technologists.
