Articling Agricultural Technologist Application
Greetings!
The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists has a membership category called the Agricultural Technologist membership. This category recognizes the role filled by individuals who provide specific services in the agri-food industry.
Agricultural Technologists are graduates from a recognized agriculture diploma program and are trained in applied agriculture. They are employed in positions which provide information to clients on agricultural related practises.
Agricultural Technologists must formally apply to the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists for membership. Once accepted they are required to agree to a code of ethics. The cost of an annual membership is $220. All fees are due as of December 31 of the year preceding year of membership. An individual who has not paid their fees as of January 15 of the year of membership will receive a registered letter indicating fees are not paid. A late payment fee of $100 is added to the membership fee. Anyone who has not paid by February 15 of the year of membership will be automatically removed from the register without further notification.
A person may be reinstated to membership upon the recommendation of the Admissions Committee and approval of Council. A reinstatement fee of $150 will be assessed on each application where no written resignation has previously been received. A $75 reinstatement fee will be assessed when a written resignation has been received.
The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is pleased to include diploma gradutes as members. Their role along with the role of agrologists provides better service to the agri-food industry of Saskatchewan.
